Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn was born in America. She is an actress who has been working professionally for over 27 years. Since the age of 27 she has been professional active as a thespian. She started her professional career in the year 1990 with an off Broadway production of The Big Funk, by John Patrick Shanley. In The Perfect Tribute, she made her TV debut a year later. In 1992, she earned her first big break after being cast in Basic Instinct as a supporting role. It was in the movie The Firm however that she got the role of woman leading the film for just the very first time. She was cast in the film alongside stars like Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. She worked in the 90s alongside some of the top actors in Hollywood, like Gwyneth Paltrow and Hugh Grant. Recently, she was her character as Dr. Alex Blake in Criminal Minds.
